Invitation au Colloque 2010 :
L’AATQ (Association des Art-thérapeutes du Québec) vous invite à la conférence Cerner les arts de/dans la thérapie. Cette conférence donnera l’opportunité d’examiner plus attentivement l’aspect scientifique de la créativité et des arts dans le contexte spécifique de la thérapie. Notre conférencière invitée, nous guidera dans l’exploration de cette unique contribution des thérapies par les arts dans les pratiques multidisciplinaires du domaine de la santé mentale.
Cette conférence se tiendra à Montréal, les 24 et 25 septembre 2010, réunissant les thérapeutes par les arts, praticiens du domaine de la santé, artistes et étudiants. Le programme débutera avec une présentation publique dans la soirée du vendredi, accompagné d’une exposition d’art réalisée par des Art-thérapeutes, ainsi qu’une réponse interactive du publique à celle-ci. Le samedi matin sera dédié à la conférencière invitée, Amber Elizabeth Gray. Par l’approche de psychologie somatique et de psychothérapie par les arts créatifs elle a développé un large éventail de modèles de traitements fondés sur les besoins communautaires et culturels constituant un apport important vers une résilience tant individuelle que collectifs suite à un évènement traumatisant. En après- midi, il y aura un choix de présentations et ateliers expérientiels. Vous êtes ensuite conviés à la soirée du samedi qui est réservée à une célébration avec dîner et festivités sous le thème de «Arts à porter & accessoires».
Le dimanche 26 septembre, un cours post-conférence d’une journée sera offert à un nombre limité de participants. Ce cours sera donné par Amber Elizabeth Gray.

Conference announcement & invitation:
The AATQ (Association des art-thérapeutes du Québec), invite you to attend a conference entitled, Full Circle: the Arts in/of Therapy. This timely conference will look at the scientific aspect of creativity and arts within the specific context of therapy. Our keynote speaker will lead us in exploring the unique contribution of arts therapies within the interdisciplinary practices in the field of mental health.
This conference will be held in Montreal , September 24 and 25th, 2010, gathering creative arts therapists, health practitioners, artists, and students. The program will begin on Friday, with an evening presentation open to the public, with art exhibition by art therapists, and participative response by the public. Saturday morning will be devoted to the keynote speaker, Amber Elizabeth Gray. Through the application of somatic psychology and creative arts psychotherapies she has developed a wide range of community based, culturally congruent treatment models for trauma recovery that reinforce individual and communal resilience. In the afternoon, there will be presentations and experiential workshops to choose from. Afterwards, you are cordially invited to an evening celebration with a banquet and gathering under the theme of “Wearable Art & Accessories”.
On Sunday 26th a post conference course given by Amber Elizabeth Gray will be available to a limited number of participants.
