I received this wonderful power point animation set to Don McLean’s Starry Night. It talks about an artist’s sensibility and difference that is often misunderstood and hints at his problems with mental health. It is poetic and touching as the images (van Gogh’s paintings) illustrate the words of the song. It is also an illustration of how much more poignant the arts can be in speaking about these complex realities. The person who created the work is unknown and there is a notice that invites people to share the information.
Much more information on van Gogh’s life can be found here while the animation is found here. Note that you must download the file to hear the music.
